About Us
“Startups die more often from a lack of customers than from a lack of product.”
-
We envision a resilient and self-sufficient domestic battery industry that enables affordable, sustainable, and secure energy access across the United States and beyond.
-
Our mission is to empower early-stage battery startups and accelerate the commercialization of clean, reliable, and domestically sourced energy storage solutions through technical mentorship, strategic guidance, and ecosystem collaboration.
-
Because energy independence, climate progress, and technological leadership all depend on a strong battery innovation ecosystem—and today’s founders are building it without the support they need. Battery startups face steep challenges: capital constraints, talent gaps, market uncertainty, and costly pivots. Most fail before launch or shortly after. We’re here to change that.
-
Our focus is what sets us apart. The Battery Saloon is built by founders, for founders—with mentors, advisors, and board members who are industry leaders, bringing deep domain expertise and years of hands-on experience. We don’t do general—we do precision, purpose, and progress.
-

Sama Aghniaey, PhD
Founder & CEO
“I’ve always felt that when an entrepreneur dares to push an industry forward, the industry should show up. These founders shouldn’t have to choose between vision and burnout just because they lack liquidity. That’s when it hit me: it’ll take a community.
So I built one.”
